This lighthouse design competition is calling for innovative and sustainable designs that explore the relationship between humans and built surroundings. The winning design will be an integrated tour center, youth hostel, and seawater research center that blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment. The design should create a new meaning for blending the lighthouse and the ocean, while preserving ample protection of resources and enriching the sensory experience.

The design concept "Inside ONE: Exploring Experience" is inspired by the Japanese concept of "Oku," which refers to something abstract, profound, innermost, and deep. The lighthouse is divided into three-tier systems that each have their own unique functions and experiences. The integrated tour center will create a progressive experience between the open space and the close space, combining environmental ecology exhibitions and local historical culture. The youth hostel will provide facilities such as a reception, public bath, service yard, restaurant, and living spaces. The seawater research center will offer education and nature conservation spaces, as well as aquatic sports and other entertainments.
